Knew that would be an unpopular one. I don't know why but the album version just does nothing for me really, give me Champagne Supernova over DLBIA any day of the week.
Mind you seeing Noel do Don't Look Back In Anger at T in the Park last year was one of the best moments of my life so there you go...
So buy a fucking t-shirt and a poster on the way out you fuckers!
I still don't particularly like Wonderwall (Liam's vocals on the studio version are not good for my toenails), Champagne Supernova & Don't look back in anger and being not too fond of most of the others on WTSMG (apart from Morning Glory, Hello & Cast no shadow) it is my least preferred Oasis album at the moment. It might change one day, but I have given up hope.
If that is not enough to make a lot of new friends here , I will always prefer a rough sounding Liam singing over an angelic and perfectly singing Noel. It's in the voice and what it does to me. Liam's, a lot, almost always, Noel's, not very much, most of the time. Which is why I usually skip Noel singing songs that Liam used to sing because it sounds just wrong to me.

Got to agree about Cast No Shadow, its a good song but some people rate it as one of their best and its NO WHERE NEAR their best, to me personally. Its ok id say nothing more, defo one of the weaker tracks on WTSMG along with Hey Now.
I pretty much hate their famous songs, DLBIA, Wonderwall etc (although its awesome live, WW) Cast No Shadow I hate the album version, way too slow, but again, awesome live.
And I pretty much hate Definitely Maybe, I love the songs, but the actual album I hate. They should re-record it
No hating on anyone for there opinions OK! Lets keep this friendly.
I'll go first:
I hate the Album version of Wonderwall. Love live versions but hate the album version. Hate Liam's vocals on the chorus 'and after allllllllll your my Wonderwalllllllll' really drones on.
YES! i know exactly what you mean, the electric version (2000) was amazing Liam holds the notes abit too long on the album version. I was pretty disappointedwhen they went back to the acoustic style in the 08 09 tour, lacks the power.
I don't really feel that Gem and Andy, even though they are great musicians, brought anything worthwhile to Oasis.
Agreed - they have some good songs, but they changed the band in a way that wasn't for the best, and I don't feel like their songs were ever better than Noel's worst stuff. They are good in Beady Eye - but I would have preferred Guigsy and Bonehead in Oasis until 2009.
Never be afraid of the obvious because it's all been done before.
Oasis kind of lost their unique sound after be here now (maybe due to bonehead and guigsy leaving), they never sounded the same after that, still fantastic songs after 2000 but they sounded different.
