Today marks the 17th anniversary of the 2 shows at Knebworth Park. What a concert it was. I remember hearing about it from Australia wishing i was there. Anyone attend any of the shows? Those were the days
3 years before they were nothing...it's unbelievable
so true, they went from 0 to super stardom so quickly. It's amazing when you think about it, there was no internet, no mobile phones, twitter, fb nothing and this band managed to become a worldwide phenomenon solely based on their music. They were one in a million

They need to bring that first night out on blu ray... Amazing

At that time, it was amazing and it's even more impressive now. Doesn't come close to those Maine Road gigs when I think the band were on real top form but It was Oasis crowning moment. They never got as big or Epic after that. Some support acts like Manic street Preachers and The Prodigy. But Liam in that White Jumper was a low point.

Definitely.
I often wish they sounded the same at Knebworth as Maine Rd - particularly the 2nd night. It would then be hailed as one of the greatest, instead of more for just the event itself.

I was there the 1st night mate... I was 16 at the time. Them were the days
Oasis - Earls Court, Maine Rd, Knebworth, G-mex, Ancienne Belgique, Reebok Stadium, Wembley Stadium, Manchester Apollo, Old Trafford, City Of Manchester Stadium, Hallam FM Arena (2006), Hallam FM Arena (2008), Slane Castle, Wembley Stadium, Bridlington Spa.
one of the most important weekends in british music history and still no dvd of it. i'm pretty sure there's enough footage. maybe in two years..
I would never call a gay guy a faggot – unless he’s being a faggot. If I would watch two dudes blowin’ each other, I would be respectful to them. But if one of them would put the dick out of his mouth and start saying annoying faggy things like ›People from Phoenix are Phoenicians‹ or something like that, I would say: ›Quit being a faggot and suck that dick! - Louis Ck
In all fairness, the Knebworth gigs have never been released because they were pretty shitty gigs overall.
I don't agree with at all. Do you mean performance, sound quality, set list, what exactly?
Good one. The performance wasn't great, the sound quality wasn't great, the set list was fine, but every Oasis set list is pretty well fine. The point is, there are better gig recording out there, so they never felt the need to release something that wasn't great.

Yeh there are definitely better gigs than Knebworth. Still better than most others gigs
Suppose I'd like to see a gig which we haven't much video for - Finsbury Park is a definite for me personally.
