How far is this from the truth? What a nutcase Malvo is! Don't want to google what actually happened yet as i'm really enjoying this, Billy Bob is fantastic in it! I even went back and watch the film of Fargo last week as well, unreal for such a small quiet place!

There is no "truth" mate, that part is just added to add a creepy feeling to the show. It isn't based on any real events.

Ah right, I thought it was a bit far fetched to be considered a true story. I thought I'd have seen some of the events in the news if it was true.
Yep great finale, what happened to that deaf guy? The last we saw of him, Malvo gave him the key to unlock himself then we never saw him again, have I missed something?

Never thought of that, maybe he just let him go and told him to meet up with him in future if he ever wanted a job. Other than that I don't know what happened to him. Yeah I think they just left his character there.

Fargo season two will be a prequel and take place in 1979.
Executive producers Noah Hawley and Warren Littlefield added at the FX show's renewal press tour panel that none of the original cast are likely to feature, with the story following Molly's father Lou Solverson back when he was 33 years old.
