Hello,
my name is Joakim and I have been registered on this great forum for a couple of weeks after getting an invite from my best mate joakim, who I am sure most of you know who is.
I have been mad fer it since the early months of 1996. It actually started in 1995 when I bought WTSMG, but it took a couple of months to really turn me on. I actually remember the exact moment. I was sitting in my room listening to the album and during Some Might Say it suddenly snapped. A new fan were born and I haven't looked back in anger since.
My favourite album is Don't Believe The Truth, closely followed by (What's the Story) Morning Glory?. My favourite song is Cigarettes And Alcohol, favourite b-side is Stay Young, favourite post-Oasis album is BE and favourite post-Oasis song is Freaky Teeth. These favourites are subject to change though, depending on the mood!
I am not a huge collector as many of you are, but I have of course the official stuff on CD (including the Goal soundtrack and Rock the Docks...), some of the vinyls, a lot of bootlegs and, the only rare(?) thing in my tiny collection, the Standing on the Shoulders of Giants promo cassette.
I have seen Oasis live 17 times + a handful of "solo" gigs. My gigography is as follows...
Oasis:
1997 - Oslo Spektrum
2000 - Quart Festival, Wembley Stadium (both nights)
2002 - Finsbury Park (all three nights)
2005 - Hampden Park, City of Manchester Stadium (2nd and 3rd night), Brussels Vorst Nationaal, Milano FilaForum
2006 - Oslo Spektrum
2008 - Copenhagen Falconer Salen
2009 - Gothenburg Scandinavium Arena, Oslo Spektrum, Wembley Stadium (3rd night)
Noel:
2007 - Royal Albert Hall (with Gem and Terry)
2010 - Royal Albert Hall (with Gem and Terry, both nights)
2011 - Copenhagen Koncerthuset (with HFB)
2012 - Liverpool Echo Arena (with HFB)
Beady Eye:
2011 - Amsterdam Paradiso
Other favourite bands of mine include Nirvana, Foo Fighters, The Beatles, Neil Young, Green Day, The Doors, CCR, Queen, Bob Dylan, Aerosmith, Johnny Cash, BRMC, The Kinks, REM, U2, Led Zeppelin, Tenacious D and The Who to name a few.
Anyway, enough about me. I'm looking forward to discuss the best band there was, the best there is and the best there ever will be with you guys!
You may clap.
