Trying to work out the lyrics for Mindfield Feel
"You treat her right, let her do her thing, You let her-let her hair down, But she holds you too tight-starts pulling your strings, And you wanna make her feel bad
We have no idea what we put eachother through, We had no idea how its all up to you and me
She flicks the switch-makes your senses twitch, Got you feeling pretty hungry(?) And she turns your apples green When she says where shes been And you wanna throw her out the window
We got no idea what we put eachother through We got no idea how its all up to you and me
Get me outta this mindfield Get me outta this mindfield Get me outta this mindfield Get me outta here!
You feel hung up-You feel in pain You've gotta let it all out Got a world war feel/fear(?)* Stewing in a paper bag plane(?)* Can't keep it in a corner(?)*
We got no idea what we put eachother through We got no idea how its all up to you and me
So get me outta this mindfield Get me outta this mindfield Get me outta this mindfield Get me outta this!
I'm lost on a couple lines near the end, I can't make out much other than a word or two. *Played the song to a friend of mine and thats what he hears, so thats what I put there for now.

Thanks for sharing! Looks like I'm a few days late to donate! You should leave permanent links for future projects up anyways! Thanks to everyone who participated, we are all thankful.
amazing gents. is the 98 demo with full on, revolution song and make believe included in what you purchased?
What about the 1998 3-track demo tape said to be in this lot? Well, unfortunately the actual tape in the case did not match the index-card, or the brand/tape-length for that matter - so that tape is believed lost. Tracklisting: "Revolution Song" / "Full On" / "Make Believe". However, two out of three tracks on this are believed to be the demos circulating, so the only unheard demo would've likely been "Full On". If it's ever found, this will be shared/uploaded as well of course.
Been listening to Mindfield Feel a lot over the past couple of days, not a bad little tune all. Can't help but wonder how Liam would have tackled it. Surely a half decent recording of it would have been good enough for B-Side. In fact some decent Liam vocals over this rough & ready backing track would have been good enough for me.
Shame Noel had decided by then to basically scrap the bonus tracks, it was around that time when he seemed vocal about his regret for 'pissing the great third album' away as B-sides.
thanks so much to everyone who made this happen. The Gem stuff is a dream, like a Heavy Stereo mini album. It must have been so mad for him being in such a great band, having the life, but also having the frustration of coming up with material like that and having it knocked back without any other outlet.
Just makes you wonder about what else is in his particular vaults (Beady Eye must have done loads of stuff in his home studio, a recent interview said he'd just done something with Jay from Liam''s band, so they mmust still be mates).
One query for the guys who did the work - the Gem tracks are very 'hot' in volume terms and actually clip at some points - is it a direct rip of the CD or was it made louder in transeferring/processing it?

Good question, and I'm glad someone finally asked!
They are incredibly loud, and do indeed clip at various points. Just to confirm; this is a direct rip of the demo CD (made using software Exact Audio Copy on Windows 10). I was so surprised I had to do a test-rip using different software on Linux as well - but with the same results. So, this is not from transferring or processing. If anyone wants to remaster or have a go bringing them down a notch; please go ahead.

Thanks for responding, Joakim. I will give it a try during weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

thanks for the info mate, was guessing it was a straight rip as you know what you're doing.
Was asking because I thought it might be nice to try and get them kind of 'mastered' up to a release quality, the music is so good it deserves to be the best it can. I'd just love it if Gem were ever persuaded to put out his demos officially, a bit like Creation/Alan McGee did with ex-Sex Pistol Glen Matlock and his post-pistols stuff.
There's various ways of 'de-clipping' so will see what might be done...
Thanks to all involved! I've been unable to listen until a couple days ago. I love that the community can come together to make this kind of thing available. This is not typical of most collector communities and I really appreciate what we have here.
I took a few minutes to play around with the Gem Demos in Izotope RX. Here is a declipped version I made. I think they sound a lot less harsh, but the declipping process seems to emphasize how strangely the bass drum is mixed.
I'll call this a beta version. Feedback is welcome.
