£3,000.00 that's a bloody joke! That's like $5,500 AUD OR $4000 USD. The seller is living in a fantasy world. I think we should all save our money incase something more worthwhile pops up in the future.
It is too much, maybe the seller knows this already as there is a 'make an offer' option.
Not worth it in my opinion. That's a crazy amount of money for 2 tracks. We paid half that for the 1993 demo tape. Whoever pays that has more money then sense I'm afraid.
Couldn’t agree more, I think community funding for things like this is great but it has to be worth it. Even if I won the lottery I would pass on this I’m afraid. If he gets that money for it then fair play. You would be looking around the £500 mark for something like that in my opinion. Saying that, if every member on all the Oasis forums donated a quid then we should be far 3 grand surely?
Hi - great to see so many familiar faces in this thread! Not been on here in ages due to a family situation, but hope to return slowly but surely to the community.
About the tape; I absolutely agree that it is worth nowhere near the price the seller is asking, and I don't think it's necessarily a good idea to fund such a price even if it comes down to just a few quid per fan in the end. By justifying a ridiculous price we run the risk of people overpricing items in the future. Having said that, it's not the money alone that makes me not wanting to take an active part in this, but more so that the content isn't all that exiting. I fear the versions on this tape would be all too similar to the version(s) we already have. I know one of the previous owners of this tape and paper lot quite well, mister Anders Larsen who used to run the collectors-site mistersifter.com. I think he had this around 17-18 years ago. A great guy with a lot of knowledge. I could ask him to elaborate what he remembers, but it's likely that the description from Mr.Monobrow's site is as accurate as one gets, which to me says this tape is best left in private collections or will somehow make it's way online in due time. This tape has changed hands many times in the community before, and is likely to do so again.
Had this been a video tape of the actual long-lost TV-performance from 1992, I'd have jumped on pretty much any price as that is something unique worth saving.
I am happy to help organize, fund, source and host exiting material like this in the future in a joint effort with you great fans, but I will probably pass on this opportunity.
All has been said by the real experts!! Probably if the lost video performance appear that will be the price but with this tape that many of us has the audios isnt too rare for that amount of money.

Final words about this...
You have the floor guys. Is too much money for a single tape -you're right-. Maybe another time, if the tape falling into other hands and etc. Joakim, you're totally right in every single word you said.
Many thanks to Jim and all the people who show interest and was willing to give a hand in this. In these cases one must see the oasis community saying yes or not, but discussing, proposing, etc before and like a community.
About the quality of the tapes, there's no doubt. We could have listened, transferred, etc the tape without any problem because the tape never has been played. I tried to be a small hero getting samples of the tape but I never have a good response.
All the good luck to delinquentdolt. I hope he sells his tape. We -in other hand- must continue.
