Oh yeah, if memory serves me that was a good one, the next two are pretty intense as well.
May the thrones be with you! Ouch
Finished with season one...wow! Episode 9 as you said was a shocker, I definitely wasn't expecting that! It ended on a great note as well the final episode. Now on to season two!
I know right! You kind of know Joffrey will pull some kind of stunt but you still expect one of the shows main characters to somehow wriggle out of it. I was gobsmacked when he didn't. The look on his face when he puts his head down and he's totally given up, worn out by it all. Great stuff.
Now you've got the ninth ep of season 2 to come, that's just as epic but for totally different reasons. You'll see what I mean when I get to it anyway, enjoy!

Not one of the shows main characters. THE main character. That whole first season was mainly about Ned and the Starks. Thats when I knew the should be great. When you know anyone of the main characters can go at anytime it builds a real suspense. Unlike a show like 24 which was really good but you knew Jack would always save the day or escape. They killed off Ned, Robert, Drogo, and Daenerys brother all in the first season. The only other show in I can remember doing that was Lost.

I completely agree, I was just trying by saying "one of" to stop myself from accidentally spoiling it for anyone currently watching, or about to watch season 1 but that seems pretty futile now

Whats the moratorium on spoilers? We are on season four. I purposely didnt mention anything after season one because Bruno is just catching up. I hate that I cant read the comment section on recaps or posts on the current season because people that read the books like to spoil the show. I like to see fan theories and speculation but people like to ruin it for others.
Done with season 2, man this show is something else!
Your going through these quickly mate,
I did my line manager the first 2 series last year and he went through them in a week he was that addicted to them, now he brings a memory stick in every Tuesday (he hasn't got Sky) just so I can put the latest episode on, he's even threatened me with the sack if I don't bring it in and he also won't let me have Tuesday's off until the season is finished! GOT is taking over the world!
Wait until you get to the wedding in series 3 (and series 4 for that matter!)

I planned on watching 2 episodes today, ended up watching 4. It's addictive that's for sure!

Last month I got through them all in 3 days, they're just so good!

I was like that with Boardwalk Empire, sailed through them. With GOT i've always watched them when they first show on TV, been years since i've been this excitied about a TV show. I've watched them all twice now as I don't know about others but because there is that many different storylines going on I get a bit lost in what is going on.

How did you find 'Blackwater' then, pretty epic wasn't it?
Superb! The battle sequence almost felt like something out of LOTR. Production values of this show really are awesome! I was actually scared at the end that they'd killed off Tyrion but he got away with just a scar....phew.
I'm already done with 4 episodes of season 3 as well, soon going to run out of episodes at this rate lol.

Phew indeed, he's got to be the best character on Thrones, some fantastic dialogue and a perfect performance from Peter Dinklage. Anyway, I'm glad you're enjoying it, just prepare yourself for the end of season 3, you may find yourself experiencing emotions you never knew you could experience from a TV show...
