It's all go already, glad the De Gea transfer is sorted, it's a good deal for all, I actually think it's a much better deal for United. Navas ain't a bad keeper as well. Still don't get the logic in letting Januzzi go out on loan tho.
Have you seen the madness that's gone on today? We've now sold Chicha, sent Januzaj on loan, Wilson to follow. De Gea is off, Lindegaard is off, Valdes is off, Nick Powell is gone too and apparently Rojo might be sent out on loan. I have absolutely no idea what Van Gaal is doing, we have no strikers right now apart from Rooney and that 19 year old kid Martial. We've also sent Blackett on loan and if he sends Rojo away we'll be one injury away from McNair at CB. It makes no sense whatsoever. I just hope we sign some players tomorrow or else to be quite honest our season looks well and truly fucked to me.

Powell was never going to break into the team tho, a good championship player but that's about it. Not heard the rumours on Rojo and Wilson tho. Letting Rojo go on loan makes no sense, after the injuries we had last season you would think LVG might have learned. Jones is very injury prone to be relied on as well but with Blind moving to centre back we have got an extra defender this season. Wilson going out on loan would make sense if he was getting game time but I do expect us to be busy tomorrow or I don't have high hopes for this season. If we continue to play one up front we do have 3 strikers for that role in Memphis, Fellaini and Rooney, if that new kid signs that makes 4. Most the players we have now can play numerous positions so I do have faith in LVG, let's just see tomorrow eh!

I'm really worried we'll have absolutely no squad depth left. Selling all our attacking options still doesn't make any sense to me, we had more strikers last season and we didn't have champions league obligations and we weren't challenging for the title. Same goes with the number of defenders we have left. I swear Van Gaal forgot to take his meds or something because this insane giving away of players one day before the window ends is the most bizarre thing I've ever seen. But as you said there's tomorrow, surely it can't get any worse. But then again... *shudder*

The amount of money that's available in the Premier League right now and the way it's spent is quite scary. Anyone ever had a thought about the consequences of FIFA's financial fair play or how young british talents are supposed to develop? Same old problem all over, but due to the new tv contract and the sheiks it has become surreal.
I'm kind of glad that the Bundesliga ranks somewhere in the middle in an european comparision moneywise. There is indeed money, it's well organised and regulated, the league is nonetheless very attractive and most of all, the clubs work in a sustainable way. Financially and with regards to the youth system.
EDIT: I mean, Tottenham paid 30 million euros for Son. That's just wrong in every possible way.

Spurs pay ridiculous amounts for players I've noticed, look at Lamela and Soldado then both of them look like there out the door on loans.
Looks like Woodward has had the last laugh with Real, that deal could be off now. Shame for De Gea but this means we might get to keep a world class keeper for another season. No chance I'm going to get any work done today, sky sports website going to be on in the background all day.

The thing is though, are we really having the last laugh? De Gea and Van Gaal's relationship seems to have completely broken down so even if he is keen to play for us until his contract ends I doubt Van Gaal will play him. This also means we miss out on Navas who is a top quality keeper, Romero has already cost us at least a couple of points and I'm scared to think how many more we stand to lose with him in goal.
Though another twist in the tale is, despite looking like he's leaving just last night, Victor Valdes changed his Facebook and Twitter header to the United logo. Could this mean he's made up with Van Gaal or that he's just lost it(more likely scenario tbh). Could also be that he's just doing it for the bantz.
Though even if it is a loss to us, just seeing Real Madrid and Florentino Perez get fucked over by a file format from the Windows 95 era is just pure gold. Ed Woodward, you legend!

Looks like each are blaming each other over this! I'm all for keeping De Gea, but is it worth it to keep an unhappy player when we could have got £29 million and another keeper yesterday? If it was us at fault, we must have money to burn but it is certainly a slap in the face for Real. I reckon some back handers will be done and De Gea will be a Madrid player tho.
Romero has to be given time as well, he has never played in such a physical league like the Premiership, I don't think he's the long term answer myself but could be a useful number 2 for a few years
So the transfer window shuts in a few hours and it looks like apart from Martial, United won't be making any other signings which makes me very disappointed and nervous going into a long season ahead. This also effectively means we won't be challenging for the title. At present we only have 18 outfield players which is quite ridiculous. That's just 2 more than a full match day squad. I mean what is Van Gaal doing?
We Have let go Nani, RvP, Falcao, Januzaj, Chicharito, Di Maria and even Wilson could go after Martial comes in. So we've replaced all that attacking power with one unproven 19 year old. Plus Van Gaal is not happy with Marcos Rojo and is doing his best to ship him out. Rojo has come out and said he wants to stay at United and fight for his p place. But if LvG has his way then Rojo would also be gone and we'd be left bare thin at the back as well.
So here are all the problems with the squad IMO that Woodward and Van Gaal haven't adressed which has left us weak as hell and not in contention for the title which is a real shame.
Goalkeeper situation not sorted at all. Defence is still bare thin, no new CB as well. We have just 2 recognised strikers at the moment, an out of form Rooney and an unproven kid. We haven't gone out and got in a proper RW or any sort of pace.
So basically apart from central midfield, we are very weak in all departments. And seeing our injury situation last season, a couple of injuries in defence or up front and we're screwed. Plus if we drop into the Europa League I don't know how we're going to cope with just 18 outfield players. This window has been an utter shambles IMO, I was so optimistic ahead of this season but that's all been washed away now. As of now my faith in LvG is as low as it can possibly be, let's see what happens now. I for one am not expecting anything to come out of this season, we'd be lucky to finish 4th if I'm being honest.

I'm pretty comfortable what has happened in all fairness. We do have some good young players that could be given a chance now Pereira and Lingard come to mind. A lot of the players we have now can play in a few positions, it's just if we can keep clear of injuries. This team will do us until January then if anything has happened with injuries it's a case of going back in the transfer window. Januzzi going out on loan still baffles me, but a chance for first team football consistently will only be good for him. I did always hope we would go out and buy a world class centre back but it does look like Smalling and Blind have now stepped up, with Rojo, Jones and McNair as back up we should be ok. We have at least 2 players for each position then if needed there is the youth which has to be tried.
It's all good, have faith. This new kid could make a real name for himself if he scores the winner against the scousers next Saturday!
