I'm undecided about him in all fairness, he can be a bit rash at times. Good shot stopper tho, but he does make some bad decisions. I'd like to see Valdes given a chance tho, with Lindegaard as back up. Valdes is only 33 so if he's over his injury we could get a good few years out of him, he certainly has the experience.
Maybe I haven't watched Spurs all that much but Lloris seems average to me. IMO we'd be better off promoting Valdes to #1 for a couple of years then looking for a long term replacement.
Valdes can be a car crash at times, it would be a similar situation for Utd when Barthez was between the sticks. Genius one game and a car crash the next, I'd splash out on Lloris he's pretty decent and will only get better. Cech seems to have his heart set on staying in the London area sadly
Every player under the sun has been linked with United, at this point it must be an achievement to not be linked with United.
I don't see all the fuss about Ramos personally tho, I've never really rated him, always thought he was a bit rash and error prone myself, would much rather have Hummels although I think that ship has sailed. It's all good and well being linked with them kind of players, but we need to be more active. Fergie always got him signings at the start of the season so the full team would be ready for pre season.

Ramos is a total headbanger and a manslaughter charge waiting to happen, there are better options out there! I like the look of the lad Liverpool just signed.
LVG needs to sign a few up early and be ready to go next season.

I had a look on YouTube at that lad Liverpool have signed when United was linked with him, looks pretty decent, see how he suits the premiership. He's basically a replacement for Sterling tho, don't really know if he'll be better or not. They are active in the transfer window tho, still a lot of dead wood to get shut of.
I know the transfer market isn't technically open yet but Woodward and Van Gaal need to get moving and sign some players. I'm worried we might end up like last season if the business isn't done quickly. Hopefully we'll have Schneiderlin signed in this week.

I'm not that convinced by Schneiderlin myself, I can see him playing second fiddle to Carrick and Herrara if we do sign him, can't understand why we haven't gone for Clyne? Liverpool will have a good right back for the money if they sign him, he's just the kind of attacking right back we need, although we are being linked with Coleman who will no doubt cost a lot more. I can imagine us signing about 3 players before the end of next week tho, when we do sign one, the floodgates open! Still not convinced with the Ramos links as well, think his agent is using us to get him a better contract like Alves.

I personally think Schneiderlin would make a good understudy to Carrick, more so than Blind who still has a way to go. Plus Schneiderlin is a proven Premier League player which is always a good quality to have under the belt.
On the Clyne thing, yeah I was also surprised when I heard he was signing for Liverpool. They've got a very good deal there. Can't understand why we didn't pursue him more. Maybe Van Gaal sees Coleman as a better option or maybe someone else, who knows. We definitely need a right back though, hope we don't mess up our transfers in that department.
You know I have a feeling Ramos tried to use United the way Dani Alves did to get a better deal for himself but ended up pissing off Florentino Perez and Perez ended up pissing off Ramos by not showing him enough respect by giving him what he wanted. So I think we might just pull a rabbit out of the hat and end up signing him. It's still far fetched but the likelihood of it happening has definitely gone up in recent weeks. I still feel though our main priority in that department should be Otamendi, how amazing would it be to have Ramos and Otamendi in central defence next season. It's nice to dream.

Blind played his best for us last season at left back, he's more than capable at filling in at central midfield tho but with the extra games coming up next season we do need cover and Schneiderlin could be useful when Carrick is injured or rested.
Valencia needs to go in my opinion, the bloke is so right footed it's unreal, he can't do anything with his left foot and for the past 2 seasons he has gone down hill, his crossing has been terrible and he's not a defender, he just has pace. I do like Rafael, but he's always injured, the bloke can't string a good set of game together.
I don't even rate Ramos, in all fairness I would rather take Vlaar on a free for a couple of seasons and use him as a back up to Smalling, Jones, Rojo and Evans, I might get laughed at for that one but Vlaar was outstanding at the World Cup last year and you could get a couple of seasons out of him and see if Jones and Smalling are up to it. Otamendi is highly rated I believe so I wouldn't complain if we went for him, but Ramos is very rash and really overpriced for his age, there are better options about. Agents know we have cash and need players so the price shoots straight up now!
Blind is capable of filling in at CDM but his passing is limited and he loses the ball also which I'm sure he'll get better with in his second season. But for now Schneiderlin is a good buy IMO.
Mate, Vlaar is pretty crap. He might've been decent at the World Cup but for Aston Villa he's been pretty weak. There were quite a few times this past season watching Villa where I thought to myself that thank god we didn't buy him. Ramos is a long shot anyway but to be fair he's definitely a step up from Smalling and Jones despite their considerable improvement over the season.

Looks like the bid is in for Ramos according to Sky sports. Something must have unsettled the player for us to put a bid in, still doubt we'll get him, but we do have a few Spanish players that might have a word in his ear.
Vlaar has been unlucky with injuries but I do rate him, he's just one of them old school defenders with the presence of someone like Vidic, got no pace tho.
It's so frustrating to see us make the same mistakes as last season and sign players at the tail end of the transfer window because it looks like that's what we'll be doing again. This whole De Gea thing is also doing my head in but it seems he's going to be staying for now which means we'll get nothing for him next season. Great.

I'd rather have De Gea for another season to be fair and lose him on a free! We ain't going to get that much for him anyway if he's going into his final year, hopefully this will mean Real look elsewhere and De Gea signs a new deal with us, one can only hope!
Think we are focusing too much on Ramos, this will turn out bad for us when he signs a new deal then our other targets have signed new contracts or with other clubs, glad to see the back of Nani tho, and it looks like RVP is off as well, he was incredible for one season for us anyhow.

You're right, if we're getting less for De Gea than we paid for him, might as well hang on to him for another season. But its nice to see Ed Woodward not bending over backwards for Real Madrid. Haha I remember a time when United fans hated Woodward and now he's a fan favourite.
I think the Ramos deal might happen but only if De Gea goes to Madrid. Let's see. Good to see that we've signed Darmian, a proper quality full back from all reports. Added benefit is that he's a RB that can play LB and even CB if needed. Plus he's young which means we'll get a good return on him.
Really sad to see RvP go but I think it's best for both parties. With Nani and RvP gone that's a good amount off of our wage bill I have a feeling a big signing is on its way. We wouldn't be getting rid of quality players like these if someone big wasn't coming in. So I'm getting excited to see who Woodward and LvG manage to get in.

Fergie always knew when to get rid of big name players at the right time, Nani was very inconsistent for us, a few years ago he started the season well and I actually thought he might be a good player then he just kept injured and was in and out of the side, he's got talent don't get me wrong but the time is right for him to go. RVP is on the decline, we got one amazing season out of him when he was clear of injury but last season he always seemed to slow play down for us especially when we was attacking on the counter and the past 2 seasons his injuries have caught up with him. We need to get another striker in tho, we only really have Rooney and maybe Dempay as a striker, if LVG is getting rid of Hernandez as well that leaves us short up front. I'd like to see Januzzi up front as well, he seems to play well there for the under 21's
No idea who that Darmian bloke is, but the reports seem good about him. By the sounds of reports we have also signed that Argentina defender as well. I'm awaiting the news that Ramos has signed a new deal at Real, you know it's going to come That Casilas seems to be going to Porto now from Real so something is going to happen shortly regarding the goalkeeper situation.
