Is it just me or is Balotelli massively overrated? Rickie Lambert is better than him, waste of money IMO.
I've always thought the same mate, don't think he brings anything to Liverpool. He'll unsettle the team as the bloke is just a total idiot, after all the hassle Suarez gave Rodgers he goes out and buys an even bigger idiot in Balotelli.

Suarez was still alright in the sense that he was a team player but Balotelli is one of those characters that gets into fights with his own team mates, challenges his manager etc. etc. As you said probably not the best decision Rodgers has ever made.
In other news Xabi Alonso is being linked with United. Would be a massive signing for us but why in the world would he transfer from the reigning European Champions to 7th in the BPL, so yeah probably not going to happen.

Bargain imo. If Rodgers keeps his behaviour in line he'll be a match winner.
Lambert is a decent footballer though and seems a really genuine guy who'll play his heart out in front of the Kop and get stuck in but Mario is on another level talent wise but his mentality is highly suspect. Rodgers seems to have a magic aura about him, the guy who can keep the unstable guys like Mario happy and motivated.
I'm happy Super Mario is back and his missus is just divine!!!

The thing with Balotelli is he's a bit inconsistent. He was totally useless at the World Cup for example. But like you said if Rodgers can keep him in check he might prove to be a good buy but that's a big if.

Alonso won't sign for United, he's LFC through and through, he knows the hatred between the 2 clubs. He's got no reason to want to leave Madrid, he's only just signed a new contract as well.
Been having a read about that Rojo, be interesting to see how he performs for United as when he first broke into the Argentina squad, most the fans was against him but since then he was won them over with his good performances.
I do think Rodgers will do well with Balotelli as he does seem to have a way of getting the best out of players. But he is just one of them players that on his day he's good (not great) but when he's bad, he's shocking. Think he'll play second fiddle to Sturidge if Rodgers decides to play Coutinhio and Sterling in the 3 man attack.
Shame Kagawa has gone, I always thought he wasn't given a good run in the side, he just wasn't suited to the Premier League. Looks like Hernendez and Welbeck are on thir way as well, if fit Falcao, RVP and Rooney has to be the best strikeforce in the Premiership. Cleverley on his bike as well, still no takers for Anderson unfortunatly and LVG seems to like to play Young, well until Shaw is fit anyhow.
Think the squad will look a lot better when we play QPR in a couple of week

Falcao will be an immense signing, I actually can't believe he's coming to United! But I'd still have hoped LvG would've bought a proper centre back as well because with Rojo's problems with the work permit god knows how long we can go on with the shambolic defence we have at the moment.

Thing is, if we get Blind and LVG does still opt with this 3-5-2 formation then a back 3 of Rojo, Blind and Jones would be pretty good, with Smalling and Evans as back up, with Shaw as first choice LB with Rojo as cover then Young (sigh!) as back up, then Rafael or Valencia on the right we should be fine. Falcao will give RVP and Rooney a kick up the arse, he'll be awesome in the Premiership. It gives us much more options as well, with Kagawa gone, Rooney can play just behind RVP and Falcao if Mata isn't doing much, the team itself can be much more flexible with Blind being able to play anywhere along the back 4 and also in midfield.

You may be right, I didn't really think about it that way but Van Gaal may play Blind as a CB rather than in midfield. That would also do nicely I think. Still Carrick and Herrera can't come back soon enough. As much as I love Fletcher he's just not the player he was a few seasons ago. We desperately need the stability that Carrick provides.
Apparently the Falcao loan deal is to get over FFP so he'll most likely sign a permanent deal next season.

I think the loan option is also to see what Falcao is like after his injury. This FFP is a load of bollocks if you ask me, we are paying nearly £6million for this loan for the season, clubs will always find a way around it. I do wonder why Monaco are letting a player like Falcao leave like this tho. Hernandez has gone as well, I do love that fella but since Fergie has gone he hasn't been used right and his confidence has been shattered, it makes you wonder why he would sign for Real tho as you would have thought he would have been even more down the pecking order there?
Tom Cleverley has signed for Villa on a year long loan. They'll probably make it permanent next season. I kinda feel sorry for him in a way, the entire team were shit last season but for whatever reason the fans really tore into him particularly. He's alright but just not up to scratch for United. Anyway I hope he does well at Villa.

United are screwed if De Gea leaves in the summer.
Valdes is good but was/is always prone to error so I'd get Petr Cech in BUT the odds of Chelsea leaving him go to a title rival is almost zero. Jose didn't want Juan Mata but he knows how good Cech still is so it's most likely a no go.
Neur would be epic but almost impossible so Lloris from Spurs?
I can't believe the Fletcher-West Ham deal fell through. Who the hell is going to take him off our hands now!? On a lighter note, rumour is that Anderson has agreed a deal with a Brazilian club.
Yeah we're pretty much screwed if De Gea leaves. Hoping he doesn't though.
