The saga continues! Makes for fantastic entertainment but on a serious note the manager will have to show him the door.

If he gets away with this and gets a bumper contract out of it the rest of the squad members with bitchy tendencies such as Samir Nasri will pull similar stunts.

He goes on a mazy run and scores a goal against a Villa side who are 3 down and dying on their arses and he's proclaimed as the second coming!

His agent seems to be a mix of a gangster and a comedian!!

He's an overpaid and overhyped player and I hope they don't cave to him and just get rid. 

A few weeks back he stated he wasn't considered one of the world's best because he was from Africa. 

Plenty of football fourms were discussing what he really was saying when he came out with  that one!!

And this time, one is invented against Greece. Of course, it does not upset anyone because it only concerns an African team.

Many dont care that Ivory coast are out because they are not from the Ivory coast. I mean how many people from the Ivory coast care that lets say England or Brazil have been knocked out?

Of course I would like to see any team do well, but I doubt many are going to loose sleep over ANY team that gets knocked out.

besides, bad calls are always getting made, the amount of goals that were in/not in in previous world cups or fouls. It happens to every team.

Does football attract tools like this or does it turn them into one once they've got a bit of money ? Seriously, I can probably count on 1 hand the amount of football players I actually like as people, they're all underworked, overpaid little boys who need a slap back into reality.

thats the main problem with the england football team imo, they are in it for the fortune and fame, footballers are mostly a bunch of moaners when they only have to work 90 mins at a time at the most and maybe about 10-15 times a year tops. 

get paid millions to kick a leather ball around a pitch, its obscene.

The agent of Yaya Touré has claimed that the Manchester City midfielder would have won at least one of football’s leading individual honours by now if he was white.
In an interview with The Times that is likely to trigger a fresh debate surrounding racism in football, Dimitri Seluk said Touré was concerned that his skin colour was preventing him from getting the personal recognition he deserved.

Seluk also refused to guarantee that Touré would still be a City player come the close of the transfer window, an admission that raises more uncertainty over the Ivory Coast midfielder’s future in the wake of two outspoken attacks on the club this summer.
Once Touré returns from holiday, Seluk said that he would be meeting with his client to discuss his future before he flies to the United States to join City’s pre-season tour in New Jersey on July 26 amid continuing interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Seluk expressed bemusement at how Touré could finish only third in the voting for the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) and Football Writers’ Association (FWA) Footballer of the Year awards last season after his 20 goals from midfield inspired City to the Barclays Premier League title.

He also questioned how a player who has been named African Footballer of the Year for the past three years, and who was integral in leading City to two league championships, the FA Cup and League Cup over that period, could not have been voted into the final three of the Fifa Ballon d’Or.

Although among the shortlist of 23 players for the Ballon d’Or, Touré came 12th in the final reckoning, Cristiano Ronaldo winning the accolade from Lionel Messi and Franck Ribéry.
Touré claimed in April that he did not get the recognition he deserved because he was African — a view echoed by Samir Nasri, his City team-mate — and now Seluk has voiced concerns. George Weah, the former Liberia striker, is the only African to win the World Player of the Year award, in 1995.
Seluk added: “He [Touré] is a bit upset about the situation. Messi is the top player in the history of football and I respect Ronaldo and Ribéry a lot. Yaya respects all these players. But for an African in these awards it is hard. Fifa needs to change something.”

Touré has been on a collision course with City this summer after criticising the club for not making enough fuss about his 31st birthday in May. He also claimed that City refused a request for compassionate leave to visit his sick brother before he left for the World Cup, an accusation that the club vehemently deny. Ibrahim Touré died last month of cancer.
City are close to signing Eliaquim Mangala for around £32 million after the Porto and France defender finally agreed to join the Barclays Premier League champions.

City’s attempts to sign Mangala in January were rebuffed and at one stage the club seemed in danger of missing out on the 23-year-old this summer after he expressed a preference to join Chelsea, another of his suitors.
Yet City’s perseverance appears to have paid off, with Mangala on the verge of being reunited with Fernando, his former Porto team-mate, who moved to the Etihad Stadium for £12 million last month.
The fee is huge for a player who endured an indifferent season for Porto last term and who has yet to establish himself as a starter for France — he did not play a minute in the World Cup — but City believe Mangala can develop into a world-class player and will prove a quality defensive partner for Vincent Kompany, their captain.
