Anyone seen 'Making A Murderer' (Netflix) yet? Curious to know your thoughts on the case. It's a documentary series (10 episodes) following the case of a man (Steven Avery) exonerated by DNA evidence after 18 years in prison, but who subsequently became the prime suspect in another crime. The story is probably best told if you watch the series without knowing too much details (or Googeling case details or discussion) first, but it seems to have raised a lot of question about the police work and power of authority, and given new life to armchair detectives all over the world.
I know the series have received some criticism for being biased, but regardless; it's a very fascinating story.
Watched this a couple of weeks ago. A real eye opener and at some points you can't believe the behaviour of the people involved, both the police and the Avery family.

Finished watching it, wow! The way it's filmed it's obviously trying to get you on the side of the Averys and when you watch it you can't understand why he was guilty, if he really is guilty he should be an actor cause it's certainly convincing. You really can't understand how the cops get away with that, it was obviously a set up. There's no doubt this guy will get out now with all this publicity. I did actually have to google this after watching it as I thought it was some clever series and I thought I would have heard about it if it was true.
Really good watch tho, I'll be following this story from now on.
before i was even half-way through i decided it didnt matter to me if he was guilty or not. the real story was about the ease at which the justice system is manipulated. from low level patrol cops to supreme court judges. the whole set up is far too corruptible to claim any sense of justice. if he didnt do it, my money is on the husband of the sister and the other dassey kid. them lying/exaggerating to make avery look guilty seemed dodgy to me. they had access and opportunity and knew the filth would jump all over steve. assuming avery didnt do it, they were actually the last ones to see her alive...
