Read this last night and thought you might enjoy it too. A detailed interview with sound designer and mixer Will Files about his work on Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Thanks for the link mate, enjoyed that. I didn't even realize that the book i just purchased comes with 2 cds as well, with interviews and all sorts of stuff. will dive into them later and will let you know if anything interesting pops up.

Cheers! You're welcome. I'll keep a lookout for the Star Wars vault book. I have the Terminator Vault and that is brilliant; clearly written, detailed, and there are some great bits of repro memorabilia (art cards, storyboards etc) included as well.
My only nit-pick on that title was that it didn't mention Brad Fiedel's electronic score, which was an odd omission; to me that "metallic heartbeat" theme is as iconic to The Terminator as Darth Vader's filtered breathing is to Star Wars...
One of my favourite Star Wars collectables I had growing up was a portfolio collection of concept art prints by Ralph McQuarrie. Those were beautiful. Looking back, you could see how important his paintings were in bringing the scripts to life. I keep meaning to buy a replacement set of these prints, as my original got lost in a house move some years ago.

I didn't know a Terminator Vault book existed. Might have to track a copy down. That Ralph McQuarrie book is amazing. I had a copy when i was younger, but it got stolen when i took it to school one day. Might have to replace that as well. Found this on youtube and thought it was really clever
It's a cool title. It's perfectly ambiguous. "The Force Awakens The Last Jedi..." And then?
I was thinking the same thing!
Im working on a project at the moment that collects all Expanded Universe (now known as Legends) Books, Comics and Short Stories into chronological order. It's such a huge task. I am just about done with the Clone Wars era. I had no idea how much material is out there and i have read a lot of EU stuff. I have been very lucky i have found everything online so far to add the collection.
If anyone is interested in the finished product i will see what i can about sharing it.
That is a ton of work. I've seen a torrent that purports to have copies of every star wars book ever published on rutracker, but I don't think it's been put in order.
If I had some gum, I'd chew a hole into the sun...

Yeah mate, it's been hard trying to track down everything, but i have somehow managed to find everything so far. I'm just about to enter the Rebellion Era. The Clone Wars era was doing my head in! So much material!
I'm using a couple of online guides plus Pablo Hidalgo's book , The Essential Reader's Companion so i don't miss anything. The only things i'm not including are the children's books, video games and RPG/Gamebooks.
