I do wonder what they have planned for Thursday October 1st. I just hope it's better than "all of the above videos, but in SD", or more lyric videos Fingers crossed.

There is no way they are remastered in HD. The Wonderwall video looks upscaled and is pretty blurry, not to mention the horrible edge enhancement and noise reduction. That's my opinion though
They've all been obvious upscales. Marketing gimmick. It's a shame if they've really lost the original film elements.
Mat whitecross tried to access original film on Sony US archive. but he couldn't that.
"Tom: There are some great outtakes from the Live Forever and Wonderwall videos – were they from 16mm film? Mat: (Laughs) They should have been!
Tom: From Sony America…? Mat: Oh mate… Sony… I don’t know what happened in the ’90s with Sony but I think it might have been run by crack addicts because basically… it’s like: “The computer says no.” They were very lovely, the bosses that we spoke to were great, then you’d speak to the guy in the archive and he was like: “Oasis who?” It got to the point where it was like – “I’ve got all these canisters; what do you want me to do?” And I said, “We’ll fly someone over there and he can just go through it.” And he was like, “No, you can’t do that” and I was like, “Well look, could you open one of the canisters and just hold the film up to the light and then you can tell us?” and he was like “No. I’m not doing that”. So there were all these canisters just lying there. They seem to have lost all the rushes and even the print of Wonderwall for example, which is just mind-boggling. But some stuff seems to remain. We had the Cigarettes and Alcohol rushes. The director Mark Szaszy had kept a lot of stuff on U-matic (a semi-professional video cassette format) so, bless him, he shared that with us. There were a few things like that." www.oasis-recordinginfo.co.uk/?page_id=1952
It's all well and good and I'm sure it'll be an entertaining watch, but I was hoping for something.... more. A single unheard track would have done me. Ah well, this is Ignition we are talking about so I really shouldn't be surprised.

Would love Step Out with Liam on vocals. But no way in hell would Noel ever sign off on releasing that.
Wish they would release something that would be a bit more meaningful to fans. Why can't they just start uploading live gigs onto their Youtube channel? We know they are sitting on a vault of recordings so why not do something with them! The fans want it!

Couldn't agree more.
They could also just upload all the gigs audio and fans could pay and download them (Metallica etc.. do it)
I don't think Ignition understands what the long term fan wants, nor do I think they will spend money to provide anything. It's weird that they want to make a big deal out of this anniversary, but offer nothing new on the music side of it. Why can't they just put out a couple of new demos online?
If I had some gum, I'd chew a hole into the sun...
Ok for what it was, mildly diverting. No massive insights, just a nostalgia fest.
But anyway, here's to 25 years of (for me anyway) the greatest album ever, by the greatest band of all time. What a time it was to be 16 years old in 1995.
