I was looking to see how often Listen Up was played on the America tour in 95 (twice, I think!), and saw on setlist.fm that Listen Up was apparently played as an opener at Leeds Irish Centre in 94, the night after Newcastle Riverside.
I know setlist.fm is not always reliable, so wanted to know if anyone could confirm or if it was wishful thinking? Would be nice to hear if so!
In support of it being played, the setlist looks fairly standard, apart from that and the addition of Slide Away (which would make sense as it was first played on those August dates), they recorded the song in July 94, so only a couple of weeks beforehand, and they also played it live at the Borderline on 21st August 94 at the Cigarettes and Alcohol video shoot. However, we don't know of any other performance of the song around that time.
As a bonus, upon searching I found this pic of Liam and story behind it from the same gig (the author has his dates mixed up, he thinks it was April or May 94 but the venue, and the fact Noel had a black eye strongly points towards August 94)
