Hi guys. A small group of traders and tapers have come together and transferred some DAT tapes. These are all Masters or Master Clones, so are the best quality available. Just putting it out there we are looking to trade for other unheard material (live or studio). We have all lot more to come, but need to transfer them. The original recordings are available, plus another set which have been remastered and sound absolutely amazing. Just seeing if there is any interest here

The first night at westpoint is definately something I'm interested in but I don't have anything worth a trade

In regards to stuff to trade, does it just have to be oasis? Because I've got some beatles, who and led zepp stuff that could be of interest
I just don't get the whole 'trade' thing. I understand people pay good money out of their own pockets for rare stuff from whatever sources, and in the 'old days' I guess there was a certain thrill to be had from hearing (and owning) something that only a select few got to enjoy.
But in these days I just don't get it. It's music. It's for enjoying and sharing. it's for talking about, it's for fans to get pleasure from - it's why beatles and beach boys boxsets are popular (amongst fans) and why bootlegs have always been such a cool thing.
I can spend hours on youtube finding gems. I have my own youtube channel dedicated to sharing rare stuff that I've either cleaned up or sourced for my own archives through friends and contacts.
This board and associated blogs from members have given me countless items of out-takes, demos, instrumentals and rare cuts, some of which are amongst my most played tracks ever.
Things where people got together and pooled money, like the Gem demos, were just absolutely brilliant examples of a great musical community.
I just don't get posting images of a load of stuff people might want to hear (I'm not a big fan of hearing every Oasis gig ever done myself) and asking if anyone wants to 'trade'.

hey david, that's kinda the point, point the photos of the dats is to drum up interest to hopefully uncover something else as equally magical. like these are gigs from the be here now era, which are brilliant but who knows whatelse is out there? we know from recent activity online that there are soundcheck sessions and bside recording sessions that have been posted to youtube and we are extremly grateful to hear these. however for collectors like myself it would be good to have these in the orginal or best quality available. as a fan i'd like all these things to be out there but sadly not everyone on these boards are of the same mindset. hopefully with a post like these we can uncover something of equal value to the community.

Don't get me started on my opinion on how that stuff was shared through youtube only.
If I had some gum, I'd chew a hole into the sun...
