Torn up about Bret Hart's current condition, as if the dude hasn't gone through enough health issues and personal tragedies. I really hope he puts ahit out on cancer and makes that fucker tap out.
Lesnar vs ambrose was terrible, they teased the chainsaw and the bat and he didnt even end up doing anything with them (lesnar interrupted it both times), it ended when it just felt like it was kicking up a gear, really left me feeling like I wasted my time with it, thought ambrose was going to kick out of the f5 onto the chairs to show hes tough but nope, that was it. Really thought that this match was going to be a long grueling match with maybe even some blood with dean either managing to beat him or at least going down in a blaze of glory but the match just felt like filler, a VERY long way off the expected showstealer people were hoping for...and what happened to ambrose cart he loaded up with weapons on Raw? thought the whole point is he was going to bring to wrestlemania with him...
shane vs taker was great but felt odd to me, the whole match just made me feel sad really that taker probably isnt far off retiring for good now (taker nearly crying after the match was emotional) and after shane losing it felt more like a final goodbye match before he leaves for good as well, taker apprarently has been telling people hes wrestled his last match which could be why he looked to be nearly crying and taking his gloves off after the match though with vince letting shane run raw anyway, I dont understand why shane didnt just win the match if taker is going to retire anyhow, even from a story standpoint, vince didnt want shane getting control of raw, that was the story....yet he just hands it over to him anyway....
I wasnt happy with the legends like rock shawn, austin and foley coming out and beating down the newer guys, just undermines th current roster and reminds everyone of that idea that "todays wrestlers arnt as good as they used to be", all the special appearances felt abit like desperation from wwe to make the show feel more "big time", the wyatts should be a big deal yet wwe dont even give them a proper match and then send the rock out there to mock them because logic, had they not been jobbed out so much lately it wouldnt of mattered but rock just dumped on them further (besides a few compliments thrown in).....then pins erick rowan in 6 seconds?.....its makes for a cool moment when these legends come out but you shouldnt be burying your current talent to do, like cm punk said "whos going to be at work tomorrow?"....
on a side note, shawn michaels looked incredible makes you wonder why he retired back in 2010 tbh, couldve wrestled up until at least now...
the 3 biggest matches featured 4 guys that dont even wrestle that much, shane, HHH, taker and lesnar, it was only reigns and ambrose from todays roster in the big matches so again not really looking towards the future, someone also stated that 3/4 of the 4 guys in the fatal four way on raw lost their matches at wrestlemania but got a number on contenders match on raw?
reigns vs HHH happened as expected and it was standard with all the fireworks etc ws waiting for something to happen, a return or heel turn for reigns but nothing.
was an ok effort by wwe without many of their top stars but even so it was pretty average for my liking, taker and shanes match saved it from being mostly meh.
So I think it's safe to say 2016 wasn't the greatest year for WWE (sans Styles and Nakamura being amazing) - what's everyone's hopes for WWE in 2017?
For Vince to stop with this Roman Reigns thing. I've disliked him from the Shield days and I still don't like watching him to this day and can't stand to watch raw because of it. Watched it for the first time in months last weeks and he was involved in like 5 segments, the last of which he was shoehorned in to give that double spear moment that no one will remember. It was frigging excruciating to see him pop up that often for 3 hours. Get rid of it. And an hour of RAW while we're at it.
Oh and to keep Cena away from the title picture. I like the dude as a person and a wrestler but him as a champion is a spent force. The upper card just before he left has been awesome, as has smackdown might I add, apart from t shirt sales I just don't see any value to him weekly.
I wanted the brand split to happen for a while so I was pretty happy with that move but Raw is just so full of filler that I can't watch it. Jericho has been the highlight of the year for me and he's really helped Owens in his first title run since Owens hardly has any worthwhile opponents other than Rollins and we've seen that match like a 100 times already. Hopefully the Miz continues to do the amazing work he's done into 2017. The dude's on fire! Also hopefully they don't screw AJ out of the title just to give it to Cena. And if they do he better win it back at Mania!
"Who'll pick you up when you're spread too thin, when the walls you built are closing in around you? I found you...."
If undertakers last mania opponent is Reigns I'll be taking a very long break from the product. The continuous over pushing of Reigns is baffling. He's got a good look but he's not all that in ring and doesn't draw enough or have enough charisma to compensate for it.
Also Styles/Shane will be a travesty if it happens. AJ has hit the ground running and is probably the most popular star smackdown has right now. As much as I like cena, he doesn't need a title, it's kinda bollocksed Ajs long term plans up tbh

as someone said, look at what wwe was selling....."the new era" yet the first PPV in 2017, cena is champion, orton wins the rumble and 3 of its participants are the main talking point (goldberg, taker, lesnar), oh yea new era.
taker apparently was hurting pretty bad after the rumble so all I can hope is they just put cena with him and retire him on one last big match, reigns is only decent if they decide to turn him full heel which I doubt.
cena is supposed to be teaming with his wife at wrestlemania so its a waste.
Im not actually totally against shane vs AJ but Im a big shane fan in the ring, always fun.
Taker should've just retired last year. It was almost painful watching him at the Rumble. If Reigns is to be his opponent at Mania then I just give up because at this point I'm so sick of Roman Reigns that's it's not even funny anymore.

The worst thing is Vince has done this before (Sid, Luger, Diesel) but he usually comes to his senses and pulls the plug.
And personally I think after Taker's loss to Lesnar, he should have stayed away, let Sting debut how he did, let him go on to face Triple H at the Rumble instead then have him call out Taker and let them both have their last match at Mania 31. Taker's not in a good way at all nowadays and I don't think there's an ending for him now that he deserves.
