20 years!! That's mental. Great gig. Watching this feels like the first stage of the "classic" line up, getting it together after a hit and miss first 2-3 years. Anything after this point is gold.
The edition of the NME published 12th February 1994 featured a cover-mounted cassette called The Mutha of Creation, a compilation of rare tracks from artists signed to Creation Records. It included what was described as a demo of Cigarettes and Alcohol (actually a live version recorded for BBC Radio 5's Hit the North in August 1993). By Feb 94 the band had abandoned an attempt (at London's Olympic studios) to mix the version of Definitely Maybe recorded with producer Dave Batchelor at Monnow Valley studio in Wales, and were instead planning to re-record the album from scratch at Sawmills Studio in Cornwall.
Fabio Fazio introducing the band: "It's the first time we see Oasis on a TV show. They made several TV appearances, but I think it's the first time we see them on a TV show".
