August 18, 1994 - MTV Most Wanted
Early acoustic performance of Whatever and Live Forever. I must say this is one of my favorite acoustic performances from the band. Liam's voice sounds great here. You'd never get this good of an unplugged set from Liam later in their career.

great clip, and really puts bonehead's contribution into perspective - his piano and other extras really gave it a band character, the type that gets lost when 'professional keyboard players' get involved.
Be Here Now was released on this day 17 years ago!
That's weird, I've had flashbacks to Be Here Now release day the last couple of days and have been watching interviews and clips from the era. Think it must be because the weather here is similar to the day it came out - ie shit.

I can always remember queing up outside HMV on the Thursday morning, our old boy took me down before he went to work about 6, the shop opened at 7 and there was only about 3 of us in the queue at that time and it was pissing it down. I've got to admit, I do miss them kind of releases instead of just downloading things before they are released. Was so excited reading the booklet on the bus home then I had the house to myself for the day and it got put on full blast about 8 in the morning when I got home, the neighbour at the time was deaf as a post so I could get away with that. Great times, I also picked up a BHN poster as well as a card from HMV saying "I Was There Then" which I still have

My dad took me down to the local Our Price, then we went to watch some cricket so it wasn't really until we got back that I properly listened to it. Remember thinking songs like Magic Pie and It's Getting Better Man would grow on me over time but they never really did. Fade In-Out sounded like Bon fucking Jovi.
