Interesting that this is written "Rollin Over". The 1998 Demo's of these songs, a year after BHN, would be great to hear.
Some amazing collectors stuff out there it seems. I hope the tapes themselves survive.
Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
Like someone already pointed out, Noel wouldn't do multiple demos of the same song, so they've very probably the same version we already have. To support this, from the short clips of the 16-2-99 demo-cd that crossfire uploaded (thank you btw, amazing stuff!) one could make out that the songs we already know as demos from the old SOTSOG demos bootleg, appear to be the same versions, albeit in better sound quality.
01 : Colour My Life 02 : Take Me 03 : See The Sun 04 : Must Be The Music 05 : Better Let You Know 06 : Snakebite
Do we know if these were recorded at the Abraham Moss Studios in Manchester autumn 1991?
According to another demotape (see attachment) they were recorded at the Out of the Blue Studios. Clint Boon also confirmed this when he interviewed Noel in 2005. He should know as the synthesizers used on 'Take Me' were supposedly borrowed from him. Although that tape contains some misspelling I know the source/tape is legit. I do not own that tape.
The tape which is about to be auctioned later this month is the 4th tape I' know of that contains the uncirculating tracks Alice and Reminisce. I'm actually quite surprised they haven't turned up over the years, given how all the other recordings from the same era exist on bootlegs. My guess is it will turn up soon.
My favorite anecdote in all this has got to be the tape that Liam Dennehy tried to sell a few years ago (I even remember the auction). Jim posted the link earlier in the thread, but don't let that stop you from reading it again; www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/oasis-tape-can-be-yours-for-47000-1140803 I mean, the fact that he put up for £47 000 is mad enough, but the fact that he didn't realize that his listing worked in dollars - and was supposed to put it up for £75 000 - now that's just hilarious.
It interestingly says "Lead: Paul Arthurs" next to "Rythm [sic]: Noel Gallagher" on the tape inlay. Noel wasn't the "chief" right from the start, as he always wants everyone to believe!

Wow at that picture. And yet again, a man can dream of winning the lottery...
While we are discussing demos does anyone have any information on source of the alternative demos of Fuckin' In The Bushes labelled "Version 2" and "Version 3"?
I know it was once thought one of them to be sourced from the 12" Vinyl promo but Schorman was able to confirm that was the album version.

I'm pretty sure when the original version (ie. with the Hendrix drum sample) was first uploaded, it was claimed to be from the 12" version. I wonder if there are two version of the 12", one withdrawn when it was clear the original sample couldn't be cleared. What is version 3? Is it that V2 is the demo (the one that Joakim uploaded) and the withdrawn album version is V3?

The demo which Joakim uploaded was an upgrade from the original leak way back in late 1999 / early 2000. Version 3 is the Hendrix drum sample you mentioned but I've no idea where Version 2 originates.
Both are just listed as "Remixes" on this silver pressed bootleg.
Fuckin' In The Bushes is also listed on the 10 Years of Noise and Confusion vinyl promo, could be a possible source? Has anyone played this record and could confirm?

Thanks Jim. Simply speaking, V2 is the withdrawn album version with the Hendrix sample, and V3 is the version found on the album with Alan White's recorded drums. It's this V2 version where no-one seems to know where it's from. I'm sure someone uploaded an upgrades a few years back, maybe around 2005, and they also said it was the 12" version. I think that's the best bet at the moment, two versions of the white label 12" from 1999/early 2000, unless someone can prove otherwise. All the promo copies of SOTSOG, in all formats and as many countries as possible will need to be checked also.
I'd be amazed if V2 was on the Noise and Confusion promo, this was in 2001, and the track was withdrawn in 1999, and ditched for all time unless the Hendrix estate one day allow it's release.

Sorry I meant to write Version 2 was the Hendrix sample, not Version 3. I think your theory of two 12" promos is pretty possible. I've seen copies of the vinyl unlabelled and others with an Oasis logo and song title on the sleeve.
So Version 3 is a "Rough Mix" of the album version then, glad to have that finally confirmed. I guess the recording from the silver pressed has been sourced from a radio show / preview and that's why it sounds rougher.

I can confirm that the Noise and Confusion promo has the album version.
I'd be interested to see any evidence for another version of the vinyl promo. I've corresponded with a few sellers on ebay about their copies, and I've never seen any with an alternate matrix code. They have all had "FITB 001 A-2-1-1" in the runout, even the one posted on the old oasiscollectors.com site that had the stickered sleeve. I'm not saying it isn't possible that there was an alternate pressing, but Occam's Razor suggests otherwise.
Also, the old version of the track has some noise at the beginning, but it really doesn't sound like vinyl noise. There is nothing else even approximating vinyl noise during the rest of the track. It sounds to me like a tape source.
If I had some gum, I'd chew a hole into the sun...
