So there's possibly another tape out there where it could have been came from. It's entirely possible as Rob had 2 tapes from 1998 and the 1999 CD.

I've got a wee problem with my left ear at the minute so my hearing is a bit off. Is there a notable difference with the ending, is it a different mix?

It certainly sounds a little different to me. It's also 15 seconds shorter!

The two versions are two different mixes of the same tracks imo.

Until 1:30 of the track you provided the songs are the same. Then there are some differences. For instance, this new source is missing the verses:

I slip my skin as the prophets reappear

But I pay no mind

I'm just trying to persevere

And in the place of those verses, I hear a bit more music until the chorus starts, thus missing those 13 seconds already mentioned.

Hopefully the hearing is back to normal in the next couple of weeks, it's doing my head in.

Got a constant ringing in my left ear after being hit the side of the face with the ball playing football, doctor said it'll go back to normal in a couple of weeks time.

it'll pass off Jim. One time my usual DJ set headphiones fucked up and I used the noise cancelling Bose set I had with me for travelling (absolutely essential for any long haul flight/journey). Worked great, actually thought I'd discovered a brilliant thing for sets but then a bass drum kicked in, the headphone mic thing did something weird and it was like an explosion in my ear. Seriously thought I'd done long term damage, had a 'dull ear' for weeks but they're weird resilient self-fixing organs the old ears...

I often wonder if tiniitus (which is essentially what you're kind of experiencing) is a software problem more than hardware in most cases - a top mastering engineer i knows reckons you can focus on it and then kind of de-tune it way, so you literally just use your own 'hearing programme' to delete the offending frequency...

Your way of fuckin up your hearing is much better than mine in getting a ball leathered off my naper!

It's slightly better this week than last so hopefully it'll keep sorting itself out.
