And so it begins....well in a couple of hours at least. Also it's the Community shield so not really the Premier League but whatever! Should be great, that too after almost a month of no footy.

Arsenal playing some good football. 2-0 up against City at half time, not something you get to see everyday.
Citeh aren't the same team without Kompany, they look all over at the back and I'm not convinced by that keeper. Sanchez looks out of his depth at the moment, I'm sure he will come good for the Gooners tho but it's typical Arsenal, always start the season well then fade away when it matters.

My prediction for the upcoming season is
1.Chelsea 2.Man City 3.Arsenal 4.Man Utd or Livepool
Costa is going to be a star this year and with Fabregas and Hazard playing some silky stuff they could be amazing to watch this year. City could implode if they lost Kompany and Aguero is always an injury waiting to happen.
Right now I think Arsenal will nick 3rd and it's down to the big rivals for the important 4th slot finish. If United sign a few players they should do it imo. Liverpool will still be dangerous but losing Suarez is one hell of a body blow.
Liverpool will end up like Spurs last year, when they sold Bale they spent all that money on decent players, not world class players, Liverpool are doing the same. To me they haven't got a squad of world class players to compete in the Champions League and the Premiership. I'd be surprised if anyone other than Chelski or Citeh win the league this season. United seem to be back but I think the title could be asking a bit too much for this season. Arsenal will fade away again at the end of the season, they miss that defensive midfielder and also are a bit short in central defence if anything happens to the first choice pair
Yup that was pretty uninspiring. With 9 players out now is the time to get in some world class players. I don't understand why they aren't turning out their pockets to sign players when they've got the money. The lack of transfer activity has been so frustrating! Hopefully this result will be the right kick up the arse for Ed Woodward, then again who knows. Fingers crossed.

Same kind of thing happened last season as well, Moyes thought he could work the squad and work his magic, I hope LVG isn't doing the same. Fact is, the squad isn't good enough, easily the worst United squad I've seen in my time, to have Young in the starting team just shows you how far we are behind Citeh and Chelski.

Totally agree, we had a proper world class squad circa 2006-09 but now it's not even mid table standards by the looks of it. I sincerely hope LvG signs Rojo, Vidal, Blind, Hummels or somebody, anybody really before the transfer window closes. If not I can see this going downhill and fast.

I like Fletcher but today he looked out of his depth, Lingard was well out of position and am still unsure of him anyway. Januzzi needs to learn to pass when he beats his man. The best player on the park for us today was Jones, hopefully he can stay fit and get a good run in the team. But we do need 2 more centre backs and cover for left back as even using Young as cover worries me. Hopefully this result will tell LVG he needs to sign some quality and ship a few out.
