Well fuck me I wasn't expecting that performance from United, that has to be our best showing this season. Fellaini was awesome, that's what he used to do at Everton week in week out. Loved that link up with Young and Blind on the left. Mata had a great game as well, along with Rooney. LVG doesn't need to change the squad for the Liverpool game after that performance, fuck bringing Di Maria straight back into the team. I was even impressed with Smalling as well. Big games ahead now.
I was really happy for Micheal Carrick, first that perfectly weighted(as always) through ball for Fellaini's goal and then getting a goal of his own. He thoroughly deserved that, love the guy. Also really great to see Juan Mata get a standing ovation from the people in the stadium as he went down the tunnel, he even acknowledged it on his blog today. We have to play him on Sunday, he just provides something extra that Di Maria doesn't and he works much harder defensively as well. On to Sunday then, C'mon United!
Carrick is a wonderful footballer, just a joy to watch. Jordan Henderson is another player who is turning into a top midfielder. For the Pool game I really can't see Gerrard starting when you look at how better they play with him on the bench. He was top class in his pomp but it's the right move for both club and player to move on. Henderson is the future of Liverpool's Midfield.
Liverpool are on to a good thing with Rodgers and the likes of Can, Lallana etc.
The Balotelli gamble flopped and Lambert hasn't done his stuff so it's amazing they have gone on such a run.
What a brilliant game today, it had everything. That 2nd goal by Mata, fuck me! Truly amazing. I'm even getting impressed with Smalling and Jones at the back, was nothing fancy but they did what was needed. And the Gerrard sending off was just brilliant, couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke, cunt! Gives us a nice 5 point gap now, let's just hope we can stick to this til the end of the season.
Hope they slap a ban on Skrtel as well for stamping on De Gea, pathetic behaviour. Also Stevie G....looool
Stampy G has damaged his legacy over the last two seasons. His team talk on the pitch for the cameras benefit when it looked like they had the title wrapped up and then that slip and coming on today to save the day and not lasting a minute. It's bloody funny though!! I can imagine him coming on to the pitch today singing You'll never walk alone in his head and deciding which camera to kiss when he scored the winner.

Out of all the Liverpool players I've hated over the years he's right at the top. He should have fucked off to MLS last season when he fucked up Liverpool's title challenge. He's a good player, but all the hype around him I find wrong. The last 2 seasons he's been made to look a clown and that today just topped it off. I did actually fancy Balotelli to get sent off as well as he came off the bench a bit wound up, and like what has been said about Skrtel, how he stays on the pitch at times is beyond me, one hell of a dirty player.
Aye, United had some of the worse for reckless tackles, check out some of Keanes as well. Mark Hughes was pretty handy as well along with Paul Ince! You do need that in a team tho

There's times you miss the proper hard bastards in the game, dust themselves down afterwards, shake hands and say it was just banter!

I was watching that crazy gang documentary over Christmas, now they was hard bastard tackles, ask Gary Mabbutt. The refs are far too soft these days, I'm not saying they should get away with hard tackles but some tackles players get booked for are pathetic
I will be super pissed if anyone gets injured during this shitty international break.
at least its qualifiers now. got no problem with international breaks for games that mean something. its the friendlies they need to ditch. like that ridiculous germany vs australia match. if reus wouldve got an injury in that i would be fuming...
