I will be super pissed if anyone gets injured during this shitty international break.
at least its qualifiers now. got no problem with international breaks for games that mean something. its the friendlies they need to ditch. like that ridiculous germany vs australia match. if reus wouldve got an injury in that i would be fuming...
Completely agree. What an utterly useless game in terms of everything. I didn't even bother to tune in. Reus will probably get injured soon again anyway. He's by far the best german offensive player we've had for decades and I mean that, but apparently he's made of glass.

agreed that hes the best attacking player we've had for a loooong time. even more impressive is what he team accomplished without him tho... where abouts are you from? essen boy here.

Hannover, but soon to be Berlin. I'm having a hard time deciding which team I should support there...;-)
you dont support hannover96? RW essen has been my team wherever ive lived (in australia at the minute). and also dortmund since RWE are so sh!t... depressing to think about after the heights we once reached. hard to imagine we brought up the likes of ozil.
Arsenal vs Liverpool will be great this weekend, either team losing will help United out so it's a win-win whatever the result.
Yeah it's a funny one for a United fan to watch is that one, think a draw would suit best, it still gives us some breathing space behind and arsenal won't be too far in front. We need to be careful with Villa tho, (a game I have tickets for as well) Sherwood has got them playing well, it's just like us to do well against Liverpool then fuck up against Villa.
Carrick made Hodgson look a right bell end the other night as well, he has probably been one of the best English players this season and for a good chunk of last season and Hodgson leaves him out of his teams all the time, he comes on at half time against Italy and was by far the best player. United certainly play better with him in the side, and he's getting better with age. I don't want LVG to change the team on Saturday but Falcao has had a good spell over the international break and I'd like to see him involved.

Only at 33 years of age is Carrick finally being recognized for his talents which is a bit sad. The clamour from the English media to have Lampard and Stevie G in the center of midfield led to them flopping so much on the big stage.
Paul Scholes who was the greatest midfielder England had was shunted out to the wing while manager after manager tried the failed Lampard/Gerrard midfield.

I tell you Carrick will be shunted out once Jack Wheelchair is fit which is such a shame, he's been one of my favourites since he arrived at United and its always baffled me why he's got such few international caps. It also amazed me that he didn't go to Brazil for the World Cup. I guess England have always loved having the "big names" and for some reason Carrick just isn't that. Mark my words, despite being England's best player in that position he'll be dropped once Wheelchair is back. Good thing for Carras that Wheelchair will get injured after a couple of games so he'll be back in the team.
"Who'll pick you up when you're spread too thin, when the walls you built are closing in around you? I found you...."

Carrick took a while for me to get used to at United, think it was cause at the time we was looking for a replacement for Keane and Carrick wasn't that and he struggled to find his best role for us, now that Fletcher and Scholes are gone Carrick has been able to run that midfield and that is where we have seen the best of him. Think when Carrick hit 30 he started to sit back and dictate play like Scholes and Pirlo did in their later years.
It takes the piss the way he has been treated with England, like what has been said he was never going to be first choice when you have the untouchables in central midfield, Carrick should have retired from international duty then, like Scholes did when he kept getting overlooked and played out of position.
