A few months on and I think the song that has grown on me the most is Soul Love. At first I thought it was a good album track now I love it. Love the vibe, the vocal and the outro. Really has grown on me. Shows how strong the album is to me because as much as I now love it, it's not in my top three on the album! Top track, great album!!

i've got to say the album is still 'holding up' very much so, for me.
returning to play it often...even more so than DGSS- but not quite as much as NGHFB.
i still have songs like soon come tmrw, don't brother me and iz rite stuck in my head.
so much so that i'll be playing them in just a bit...

I like the album, Some really good tunes that stick in your head after listening.

I really like second bite of the apple, Off at the next exit, Soul love. I really like iz rite too and cant understand why its getting stick and being compared to a robbie williams song. Im not a robbie williams fan but the fella sold out knebworth and he puts on a great show so he must be doing something right.

I know it's not good for Beady Eye but I really like them as an Undergroundband like BRMC.
they were famous for their first singles but then they disappeard, cause Radiostations etc. thought they were not cool anymore (kinda compare that to the level of fame of the Beady Eye members before and while they released DGSS) and then BRMC built up an fanbase, that was not that big but grew with every album and is really solid.
nothing against Oasis fans, but for me it seems that the most Oasis fans are just people, that love the first 2-3 albums, maybe some stuff othe later albums but only wish them to become 1996 again, which in my eyes is not a good fanbase.
Hope that Beady Eye will get that BRMC state where they have no BIG singles, that are must plays at concerts and they are free to decide what they play and I really hope they stop themselves for thinking back to Oasis all the time ....

Album of the year for me. Some classic Gallagher singing, the tunes are just what they needed to prove that they were able to step up to the mark, to prove the doubters wrong. For me, they should have named the first LP 'BE' and this 'Different Gear, Still Speeding'. They seem to fit better with the opposing set of songs.

I love BE and i find it a very good album.It's the album i enjoy most this year so far.

I hate BE cause the bonus material should be on the standard version of the album ("back after the break", "evil eye", "off at the next exit"=amazing quality, could all be singles) .
I still can't understand that desicion, it's impossible for me to understand, no way.They v lost the chance to have a really special, dare to say, extraordinary release, if only they had the right tracklist.
They could even keep these tracks for their next record but they were also so so "stupid" for it. I love albums and i believe that when you release an album you have to release the best stuff you have but as an oasis fan now i m used to have the "less"and the wrong choices...
It was probably hard for them to decide. I mean "face the crowd" is the worst song here but it could be a good live track, "ballrom figured" is an excellent acoustic song that reminds me of the very good Noel's b sides, "Dont brother me" is not as good as the bonus material but it brings something different to the album and makes it sound like an album musically, something different and intersting to hear and not only as a singles-hits collection and it fits to the mood of the album.Even the single "shine a light" is not as good, its not even close to the bonus material but its still a very good moment.

At the end of the day I love BE and i find all the tracks  a great collection of songs that really shows the quality and the abilities of the band.At The end of the day, its only music that matters...

"Back After The Break", "Flick of the Finger", "Start Anew", "Soul Love",  "Evi Eye", "Off at the Next Exit" , "Iz Rite" , "Second Bite of the Apple",  "Dreaming of Some Space" (9 tracks i really really love).

Listened to it last weekend, and I found myself really enjoying it from tracks 4 to 11 - barring Dont Brother Me. I think its a really good quality run. I've always liked them but had Girls in Uniform been on at track 8 instead and something other than FTC at 3, which is the definitive low point, it would have been a 9/10 album for me.

I nearly hated it when it released, when I finished it I was sitting at work and thought to myself "Really, is that it?", its slowly growing on me though. I don't like the bonus tracks as much as everyone else does which to them is the best tracks/peak of the album and there isn't even a peak for me. I was sitting and thinking for 10 minutes when I seen the give-away-thread wondering what my favorite track was, I looked at the tracklist and couldn't choose my favorite because of how, for the lack of a better word, average I found them all compared to eachother. Yes even *Insert your favorite song here *. They all have something I like on them but they also have something I dislike about them. Like I said its slowly growing on me though, I didn't like their slower songs one bit but I enjoy them now, but I still don't get what everyone likes about Back After The Break and Off At The Next Exit. Theres no songs on BE that really grabbed me like the songs on Different Gear, Still Speeding did.

I still love it. My favorite tracks are still "Shine a light", "Flick of the finger" and "Soon come tomorrow". Interestingly, "Don't brother me" has become a strong runner-up, while it did not too much for me at first.
But I enjoy the whole album very, very much.

Its a very listenable album for me, which is a good thing. It does still have its low points, but overall I can get into it from time to time.
