This album sounds fantastic! I listened to it with my good pair of headphones and i must say they did an amazing job. You can hear certain things that you can't on any other version. Been a Beatle fan since i can remember and this is the best any of their albums have sounded. It just sounds so punchy and clear. Paul's bass really stands out on this remix.
I really hope they continue with the rest of the albums. Would love remixed versions of Rubber Soul and Revolver. And the bonus material is also great. Some of the stuff i have heard before on bootlegs/Anthology but it's good to have them in the best quality.
I've always been against remasters as all they seem to do is higher the volume, that's what it sounds like to me anyhow and for some songs they ruin the song, see Slide Away on the Defiantly Maybe remaster. On Sgt Pepper they did a great job, very impressed with it. I did read somewhere that they are doing a White Album remaster in hopefully the same kind of way but yeah Rubber Soul and Revolver would be good choices for the treatment.

I thought the Oasis remasters were average sounding at best. I only got them for the bonus material. White Album would be amazing! Hopefully we get all the Demo's that were recorded at Georges house in Usher. They put a few of them on the Anthology and the quality was excellent.
I listened the cd 2 and in my opinion the 40% of the "outakes" are from the Anthology 2 and some bootlegs. Hope the tracks from the deluxe boxset are more rare
There's roughly one hour of previously unheard outtakes in total on the deluxe set (once you eliminate Anthology 2 and bootlegged tracks).
A shame you have to buy a huge deluxe box set if all you want is the new outtakes but what new stuff is there is fascinating.
My Deluxe set was shipped from Amazon yesterday. Can't wait to get my hands on this.
Had an idea you might get this one mate , my box set arrived last week from the Beatles site. It's amazing isn't it ?
Been digging in , there's some unheard gems in there.
Yeah Mate, received mine yesterday and spent the evening going through it. The book is pretty well done, some great photos in there. Love the bonus material as well. The humming finale for A Day in the life was hilarious, so glad they changed it to piano outro. Blu-ray looked great as well. Can finally get rid of my bootleg copy of the making of sgt pepper. My only complaint is they could of included the vinyl in the box as well. It could have fitted in there!
I agree the box could have easily included the vinyl as well, it is big enough. There are some great pics in the book, I thought the pages are really thin though, not the same quality as the vinyl boxset books.
I haven't watched the blu ray yet, looking forward to seeing that. Thought the cd sleeves look great with the different shots of the main sleeve.
There's some interesting stuff on there, where there all on the pianos for the end of a day in a life is great, I really like some of the take 1 instrumentals as well.

Bit late to the party here but there doesn't seem to be any chat about the White Album remix. I got the super deluxe box set and the vinyl edition and its all i have been listening to for the last 2 weeks. This is how you do a release. The Esher demos are fantastic, but the real goodies are on the 3 session discs. I was blown away by this content. Some of it i had never heard before and the quality is amazing.
While listening i was surprised to hear the band were actually enjoying themselves, as this period is well known as the beginning of the end for the band, but from what i was hearing they still very much sounded like a band. Anyone had a chance to check these out? I'm waiting till i move into a new house to check out the blu-ray 5.1 mix, pretty excited to hear that.

Can't wait to check mine out Mark, I'm afraid mines a Christmas present though so have to wait another month! Sounds great though glad you are enjoying it!
Heard some of the tracks on You Tube but held off having proper listens as want to hear the discs. Sounds amazing though from the bits I have heard!

It really is amazing mate. Took me a few days to get through everything but I'm really satisfied with everything. Will be ripping the discs and adding the outtakes to my beatles bootleg archive.
The remix it self sounds great as well. It sounds so fresh and new. The guitars on Dear Prudence are amazing and the vocals seem to be a focus point on this remix. They are clear and upfront in the mix.
I can't understand Singles and Hey bulldog of White Album era aren't included in any editions.
Anyway, Esher demos are fabulous quality... Especially, Child of Nature,,, Beautiful melody. but Bootleg and anthology 3 have some diffrent versions, I think we do not yet know everything about Esher sessions.

Revolution/Hey Jude was remixed/remastered for the Beatles 1 release in 2015. You can also find Lady Madonna on that as well. Hey Bulldog had the same treatment for the Yellow Submarine songtrack.
I'm glad they didn't include them cause they would have had to sacrifice other tracks to include them.

You're right, for some reason i thought Revolution was included on the audio cd, but was only on the dvd/bu-ray. The Inner Light, Across The Universe and Hey Bulldog were recorded prior to the white album sessions so that's probably why they left them off.

I see...
P.S. I totally forgot Giles had remixed Revolution for Rockband Game. but Sadly I only have that in mp3 format..
