It's a shame all that stuff happened around the release of the second album, which I thought was a good album with some interesting sounds. Hopefully everybody in the band are positive about the decision and still mates.
On the plus side, it'll be interesting to see what Liam comes up with alone, as well as any collaborations.

that's made me really sad.
Had a proper 'last gang in town' mentality about them. Still think they should have kept the name Oasis and done a pink floyd. BE would probably have be seen in a very different light.
So, Liam solo career (will probably instantly up his profile), a Ride reunion and odds-on Gem touring with Noel?

Gutted to be honest. Saw them three times. First time was their very first gig, fuckin' blindingly good! Went with my da' and cousin! Mega night.
Second time was that beautiful day in HMV 13th June 2013.
3rd time was barrowlands last year. Met Andy Bell. It was a shit night though. Good gig, but myself and Shannon were surrounded by 3 idiots of the highest order.
Loved the albums. Love the band. Liam will always be my hero, regardless of what he goes on to do.

I'm absolutely gutted by this, despite creating some good music things never quite fell into place for them right from the start. The second album especially was such a step forward musically. I was hoping for more of the same from their next attempt but obviously that's not going to happen now. Hope Liam, Andy, Gem and Chris keep on creating music. Wouldn't mind some solo albums tbh.
"Who'll pick you up when you're spread too thin, when the walls you built are closing in around you? I found you...."
I say inevitable because I expected it since BE came out. It was a different class from the first album but it still didn't seem to light the world up.
Two good possibilities are the reformations of Hurricane #1 and Heavy Stereo, both bands split in order for Gem and Andy to join Oasis and both bands were better than Beady Eye in my opinion.
Sad but not unexpected. What will become of Liam now? The others can join other bands and do session gigs. Still - glad we have those 2 albums - especially last one.
