truly terrible. don`t know but I feel more depressed by the end of Beady Eye, than I did when OAsis split. Gem, Andy, Chris and Liam seemd just like a cool bunch and it was really exciting to follow them since the start. In a way I loved them way more than Oasis. Listened to BE much more than to Oasis albums I have to admit.
I don't think - judging by comments thru the years - that Liam was ever really into Beady Eye. I think he lacked respect for it - like it was Oasis light. He has had the most trouble moving on.

I dont know I think he really wanted it in the beginning, it was all "Never going to reunite oasis" , "NEVER playing oasis songs" etc then it became "I would bury the hatchet and reunite oasis" and going on to play oasis songs, I think playing small venues and poor chart positions made him loose interest, especially with Noel doing so well, Liam could go on about not desiring number 1s and playing stadiums but we all know thats what he wants, it must of been hard to go from one of the biggest bands in the world to a band that was small and mostly criticized.
I mean even last year you could see how frustrated he was getting with the crowds for only enjoying the oasis numbers.
They shouldnt of rushed into DGSS like they did, it was good dont get me wrong but it just wasnt ready to be released, the production was basic, and the general theme was too 60s, people just didnt care by the time BE got pushed out, had BE been released first I think people would of given them more of a chance.

it's weird but i feel the same. it actually put a real downer on my weekend and I don't even know any of the people involved. just feel a bit sorry for them all and I was really interested to see what they did next.
btw, not sure if this is the right place or not, but i had a little listening session in their honour today and that recent XFM session is really poor quality in the copy I have but is a great choice of songs - is there more than one quality version knocking about?

and 'blue moon' - how funny was that?
I hope that every little thing they did will surface. I want the BEADY EYE 42.42 remix, some HD shooting of BE from the first shows, there has to be enough material! the studio outtakes, some songs, taht were never planned to be released. I followed them since the start, collected everything I could get and they had something ,that Oasis had not, maybe because they had to establish themself out of the ashes from one of the biggest bands ever. didn`t like their choice of playing oasis songs and think that was the first step to the end.

About time I'd say. This has been like watching Brett Favre linger around the NFL for 4 extra years without much real motivation there. I do enjoy a number of their tunes, but the band in general felt really soulless to me. Like they were going thru the motions, because that's what they had always done before.
