surprised there's not been more response to that comment - looks like Liam called it a day then. Definitely think odds are getting lower on Gem hooking up with Noel again, although I would like to hear him do his own thing too.
As for Liam, I wonder if his g/f is actually his manager now? totally supposition without any basis, but I think it panned out along the lines of she gets sacked by scott rodger after personal involvement comes to light, that leads to Liam later sacking management on some pretext without discussing with band, that leads to Coachella cancelation and any further BE touring plans being scuppered.
The 'oasis wives' always seemed to be a bit of a close knit club, and I still think that Sarah not being part of it was a bit of a 'yoko factor' in Noel's split from the band. With Liam leaving Nicole that added another element to the whole personal relationship factor of Beady Eye. A band doesn't just involve the musicians, but can be a complex web of relationships of wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, persoan assistants, roadies, helpers and assorted others.
the break in Beady Eye activity meant Liam would have been open to 'your loyalties are holding you back' advice, and if indeed his g/f is now his manager it was always going to enter very dodgy territory for the band as a whole...
anyway, I've always said that football and bands make for the best gossip
Beady Eye is a pretty crap name honestly. At least we don't have to deal with that anymore.
Well thats that then .... its come down to that ?
Well i was gutted by this news , was lucky i saw them twice and audience reaction was always great , at heaton park supporting the roses they got a better reaction that the headline believe it or not ,they went mental but i think it was for the 2 oasis anthems they played . The original material was not as strong i think the last album contained a few great tunes but slipped into melancholy too much and the usual fab four influences perculated to through much of the rest. The first album i enjoyed a lot and live the material sounded better lets face it they tried hard having just lost one of the finest writers the uk has ever seen.
I think it started to go wrong when they started poppin in the odd Oasis tune would have better to play a few more self penned oasis material playing the NOel songs never sat right for me. From what has been revealed Liam left without warning ..which is pretty shitty , he may work with Noel again but its never gonna be the same is it and i for one had respect for Noel making a stand on his own his success must have gutted Liam playing the Arena circuit as Beady Eye played to very small crowds, Liams ego took a battering .
What is annoying is that noone is revealing much about the split ive waited awhile to post hoping for more news...but nowt .

This! Them playing Oasis songs was one thing but Noel written songs was a huge mistake, they were saying our Beady Eye material isn't good enough to carry a show so we'll play some Oasis tunes but the tunes we wrote weren't good enough so we'll play some Noel wrote.
I'll never understand why they didn't at least play Songbird, it's the most recognized non-Noel written Oasis tune. Turn Up The Sun and Eyeball Tickler(would be great live) would have been great additions too, x1 Liam written song, x1 Gem and x1 Andy.
Yes I know people are gonna say Liam's vocal made the song as much as Noel's song writing and they have as much right to play them as Noel and that's fine but it just gives a bad impression ignoring your own written Oasis tunes.
I was never a huge Beady Eye fan but it's always sad when a band splits.
I am gratefull we had Beady Eye, because of them we got to hear songs that were written for Oasis but we may never have heard on Oasis records like The Roller, Millionaire, Evil Eye, Man of Misery etc. And some of those songs are really good, The Roller should have at least been on an Oasis record!

Exactly, "nowt" has been revealed so we do not know anything just that Liam apparently decided to leave and that Mrs. Archer knew it one day before it was declared. But we have no idea who discussed what with whom for how long. Noel himself said in the recent Q interview that they all had a hard time which does not sound like it was all roses in that band, if he is to be believed. Maybe we should wait until we start rumours. And even if they did part not as friends, which I don't hope, there will be as many "truths" as band members. Just as it was with Oasis.
an oasis reunion in the future wouldn't be such straight forward affair now, still wouldn't it be cool if the old gang got back together? would never happen, alan and guigsy wouldn't come back, bonehead probably would.
anyway back on subject, I think they havnt been getting on for a while, andy and gem were nowhere to be seen when Liam was in Ibiza with the manager, they must of been annoyed about the whole thing, especially if they are friendly with Nicole.
makes you wonder whether they might of known something might of been going on long before it came out.
then the whole firing of the management happened, which could of been Liam retaliating for them removing the girlfriend as manager and just pissed them off even more because of Liams antics effecting the band once again.
As far as them playing Oasis tunes - it was a case of damned if you do - damned if you don't.
Not really, they didn't have to play Oasis tunes but they did and then they didn't have to play Noel's songs but they did. I'm sure no one would've minded Turn Up The Sun or Songbird had they played them but they didn't. In regards to playing Oasis songs they just made the wrong choices.
"Who'll pick you up when you're spread too thin, when the walls you built are closing in around you? I found you...."

I saw them on the first tour and they did not need to do any Oasis material ..a brave move or arrogant move you take ya pick . At Heaton Park supporting the Roses it was great to see em do the usual suspect Oasis Noel penned tunes but i was in two minds i feel they could have put in some of the above mentioned tunes rather than Noel crowd pleasers . Liam has had a right old year and i feel someone is whispering in his ear if he is going to return to Noels side he may need to possibly clear the decks for it it was clear Noel was not a fan of Andy .

Hi Everyone, New to the forum, am still royally pissed off about Beady Eye splitting or Liam leaving whatever the truth may be. Really loved both albums thought DGSS was a solid debut and BE was a leap forward artistically .Always enjoyed all the promo TV, radio appearances and am so glad I caught them when they came to Sydney for the Big Day Out and for their own show at the Enmore theatre. So yeah really disappointed and sad that this has happened as it was always good to see Liam,Gem , Andy and Chris all still together.
